Tokyo Game Show to Have First Ever Vocaloid Companion - Gree Booth Edition of 40mP’s “Yume Chizu” to Also Be Performed

Tokyo Game Show 2014 will be held at the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex for four days, from Sept. 18-21. It has been revealed that the first Vocaloid companion in TGS history will be at this world-famous, large-scale gaming event. The Vocaloid companion, named Gree Girl Gumi, will be at the Gree booth. She will be at the event throughout its duration along with the regular booth girls.

Gree Girl Gumi will bring excitement to the entire Gree booth by greeting attendees, appearing on stage, and more. Also, the newly produced theme song of the Gree booth, “Yume Chizu 2014 - Gree Girl Gumi Edition,” will be performed several times on stage. The Gree booth theme song is a special arrangement of the song “Yume Chizu” released by 40mP in 2011. A dance video for Gree Girl Gumi’s “Yume Chizu 2014 - Gree Girl Gumi Edition” has also been released on Gree’s special TGS 2014 site and on their YouTube channel.

40mP made headlines last year when his song “Shonen to Mahou no Robot” became the first Vocaloid song to be used in the NHK show Minna no Uta. Regarding the Gree booth edition of his song, he commented, “I created this song to overcome the extremely difficult times that occur during creating. I remixed the song for Gree by paying close attention to a ‘futuristic feel’ and the ‘connectedness of mankind.’ I hope everyone enjoys Gumi’s dancing along with the song on the day of the event.”
