Koremademo Korekaramo Itsudatte Creamy Mami! will be published by Hobby Japan on Sept. 13. The work celebrates the 30th anniversary of the start of the TV broadcast of Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel in 1987. It is a book packed with the charms of Creamy Mami, which has been loved for many years, from its announcement to the present. The book was edited by character designer Akemi Takada who was deeply involved in the series. Above all, the pleasant book is filled with visual documents.
The highlight of the book isn’t its production materials from the anime, but rather the plethora of production materials and package illustrations not included in collections released to date. The book also includes a discussion among series producer Yuuji Nunokawa and writer Kazunori Itou on an episode during production, as well as other content that thoroughly explains the series.
The book doesn’t just focus on when the series was broadcast, it also incorporates the new generation of fans and trends regarding Mami. Also included are discussions with talent Shoko Nakagawa who’s a maniac Mami fan and MMD video creator Charlie, and an explanation of Mami’s fashion given by blogger and model Matsu-you*. With the addition of columns and jewelry commentary by Takada, this is a book that can be enjoyed by a wide audience.
Another highlight is the DVD that includes over 55 minutes of footage. This includes Takada creating an illustration, a new MMD work based on Mami called “Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel on MMD: Okosama Happy Life,” the making-of documentary of Mami’s 3D CG model called Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel Memorial Movie: Making of MikuMikuDance, Mahou no Tenshi ni Shake it! Odottemoratta, winner of the Pierrot Award at the Creamy Mami MMD Contest, and more. Fans can enjoy the world of Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel on video as well.
