Attack on Titan Movie Part 1 Trailer Releases, Linked Horizon’s New Song “Guren no Zahyou” Chosen as Theme Song

From the original manga to anime, games, and spin-off works, the momentum of Attack on Titan is still showing no signs of slowing down. And it now seems like this movement will spread to theaters this fall. The first part to the Attack on Titan animated movie, Attack on Titan the Movie: Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow, will have a countrywide roadshow release on Nov. 22, and this will be followed by the release of Part 2 next year. A live-action adaptation will also have a countrywide roadshow release next year. Fans’ anticipation is heightening for this movie adaptation that follows the epic work that has broken through 40 million manga volumes sold.

On Aug. 30, new information on Attack on Titan the Movie: Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow was released. The first bit of eye-catching news is the roughly 1.5-minute-long trailer. The animated movies are a restructuring of all 25 episodes of the TV anime and utilize the completely remastered visuals used for the Blu-ray volumes of the anime. Audiences will be able to appreciate the details of this work bathed in attention even more due to the high-quality visuals. It has also been revealed that the movies will include several unaired scenes. Part 1 will depict when the characters undergo training. The voice audio has also been redubbed and remastered in 5.1-channel audio. This as well will give it a presence unique to movies screened in theaters.

There is no question that the music for the series is highly popular as well. Linked Horizon has been chosen for the movie’s theme song, which will be their new song “Guren no Zahyou.” Linked Horizon was also in charge of the two opening theme songs to the TV anime, “Crimson Bow and Arrow” and “Wings of Freedom,” both of which became huge hits overnight. The band’s appearance on NHK’s Kouhaku Uta Gassen is also fresh in memory. A point to focus on will be what kind of music they will bring to the movie. The ending theme to the movie is being created by Hiroyuki Sawano. These two artists appointed to the movie’s themes will bring excitement to its world.

Currently, Attack on Titan the Movie: Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow will release in 37 theaters. However, more theaters will be announced soon. Anticipation for this movie will likely spread even more from here on.

A world entirely ruled by Titans. Humanity, which has become food for the Titans, erected gigantic 50-meter-tall walls as protection against attacks in exchange for its freedom to roam outside the walls…

Eren feels out of place amongst those who have given up on the outside world and are satisfied with their quasi-peaceful lives. Eren calls such people “cattle.” He is an outcast among humanity.
