The TV anime Fafner in the Azure: Exodus, a new installment in the original anime Fafner in the Azure which broadcast in 2004, will begin its broadcast in January 2015. An advance screening of the first two episodes will take play in theaters this December. The third web radio show for the series was released on Niconico Live on Aug. 23. Regarding the anime, information on the new cast has been revealed, bringing huge excitement with it.
Announced this time are three new characters who appear in Fafner in the Azure: Exodus. Playing Walter is Ryotaro Okiayu, playing Dustin is Yuichi Nakamura, and playing Keith is Aki Unone. These new characters and cast members will likely bring new excitement to the series.
Advance reservations have also begun on the official site for the special event “Fafner in the Azure: Exodus Completion Screening - Blessing” to be held on Nov. 15. In addition to the screening of the full version of Episode 1, there will also be a cast member discussion including Makoto Ishii (Kazuki Makabe) and Kohei Kiyasu (Soushi Minashiro). A live performance by Angela, a music group that has been in charge of the series’ theme songs so far, is also scheduled. Additional performers will also take the stage at this momentous event celebrating the restart of the series. Tickets are general seating and cost 6,966 yen (tax included). Advance reservations will be taken until Sept. 8.
In addition, a project has commenced in which “Soushi Voice,” which was introduced at a web radio recording event, will be available on the official site to listen to for free. Look forward to more developments to come as well as a follow-up report on the story and events for this new, still largely mysterious, series.
