The TV anime Free! Eternal Summer has been chosen as Part 11 of Tower Records’ collaboration project with anime, voice stars, and artists called “No Anime, No Life.” For a limited time beginning on Monday, Sept. 1, a special project called “No Anime, No Life ☆ Free! Eternal Summer” will begin at Tower Records and TowerMini stores and on Tower Records Online. This 11th collaboration in the “No Anime, No Life” project follows up the previous collaboration with Ao Haru Ride.
Free! ES is the sequel to the popular anime Free! and is in the middle of its three month TV broadcast period which began in July. The youthful story depicts Haruka Nanase and the rest of the members of the Iwatobi High Swim Club.
From Sept. 1-21, Haruka (CV: Nobunaga Shimazaki) and Makoto Tachibana (CV: Tatsuhisa Suzuki) will be in charge of the store-opening announcements at Tower Records and TowerMini stores. Special collaboration posters between Free! ES and “No Anime, No Life” will also be hung inside stores from Sept. 1-30. A Free! ES support message board will also be hung in a portion of Tower Records and TowerMini stores during this time. It is hoped that fans will fill it with their passionate thoughts about the series. There will also be a present campaign for the Free! ES Blu-ray and DVD volumes to begin releasing on Wednesday, Sept. 17. Those who purchase the Blu-ray or DVD at Tower Records, TowerMini, or on Tower Records Online will receive a tumbler featuring specially drawn art. As another special bonus, those who purchase Vol. 1 at the above-mentioned stores will also receive a ticket to enter a raffle in which 10 people will be chosen to win a special “No Anime, No Life (Free! ES Ver.)” poster.
In another collaborative touch, a mackerel, main character Haruka’s favorite food, will be hidden inside Tower Records and TowerMini stores from Sept. 1-30. Of those who find it and post a picture of it with the hashtag #no_free_no_life, one person will be chosen to win an advertisement poster signed by Nobunaga Shimazaki, the voice of Haruka.
