Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid TV Anime Greenlit, Official Site Opens

A new TV anime series is in the works for Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, which has received tremendous support from anime fans. Production on Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid was announced on Aug. 15. On the same day, a teaser site opened on which developments from here on will be announced. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid is authored by Masaki Tsuzuki and illustrated by Takuya Fujima. It is a popular work that began serialization in 2009 in Monthly Comp-Ace (Kadokawa Shoten).

Along with the announcement of the anime is the catch copy “The next generation liberal arts fighting magical girl, gives it her all.” However, the only information so far is that the TV anime has been greenlit, but more details are forthcoming so look forward to them.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha is a cross-media series by Masaki Tsuzuki. Its extensive world has expanded thanks to games, manga, novels, drama CDs, and anime. There have been three iterations of the anime so far, including 2004’s Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A’s which served as the start of the series and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS. There have also been two animated films to date: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha the Movie 1st and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha the Movie 2nd A’s. Each iteration has gathered huge acclaim.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid focuses on Vivio Takamachi, Nanoha’s adopted daughter, and Einhart Stratos. It seems fans’ anticipation will rise for this long-awaited anime adaptation.
