The popular Sneaker Bunko light novel The Testament of Sister New Devil is becoming a TV anime to broadcast in 2015. Bringing more heat to this news is an all-at-once announcement of the main staff.
The Testament of Sister New Devil began being published in 2012. It’s a work authored by Tetsuto Uesu and illustrated by Nitroplus’ Nekosuke Okuma. In addition to the five volumes of the light novel published to date, the series has been developed into many different forms of media including a manga adaptation. This is being extended further with the announcement of the anime.
Main character Basara Tojo is an ordinary first-year high school student. He is suddenly asked by his dad, “Hey, you said you wanted a little sister, right?” as his dad announces his remarriage to a confused Basara and brings along two beauties who are to be Basara’s step-sisters. His dad then goes overseas on a business trip. Confounding things more, the true identities of these two sisters are actually that of a novice demon and a succubus. So begins Basara’s hectic daily life.
Directing the anime is Hisashi Saito of Heaven’s Lost Property and Haganai fame and Takao Yoshioka of High School DxD and Daimidaler the Sound Robot fame is the screenplay writer. The character designer is Yoshihiro Watanabe who has worked with director Saito previously on Heaven’s Lost Property and Haganai. The staff is full of hitmakers.
In charge of the anime’s production is Production IMS, a rising studio with definite achievements that include Heaven’s Lost Property Final: Eternal My Master and Date A Live II. This 2015 anime is another one of their works that is picking up attention.

“Hey, you said you wanted a little sister, right?” high school student Basara Tojo is suddenly asked by his dad. Basara is blindsided by the announcement of his dad’s remarriage, and his dad drops off his two new step-sisters before jetting off on an overseas business trip. However, the true identities of his new sisters whose names are Mio and Maria are that of a novice demon and a succubus?! Just when it seems like Basara is going to be bound by a master-servant contract, the contract is reversed by accident and Basara becomes the master?! To make matters worse, Basara is attacked with all kinds of ecchi situations because of the contract. And it turns out that Mio is being targeted by other demonic beings and heroes––?!
