An eyeshadow themed after the Magic Compact yearned for by young girls has been announced. This eyeshadow themed after the Magic Compact from the popular 1980s anime Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel is being planned and sold by Premium Bandai. Pre-orders began for the “Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel Compact Eyeshadow” on May 28. When speaking of items from magical girl anime, what many times comes to mind are toys intended for young girls. However, this product is aimed at those 15 years of age and older.
The product was developed by Premium Bandai’s cosmetics brand, CreerBeuate. The brand’s target demographic is adult females, and to date they have collaborated with The Rose of Versailles, Urusei Yatsura, and Sailor Moon. Using timeless and popular characters, their aim is to realize the ideal images drawn by women. They are trying to reach this goal this time as well with pastel-colored makeup representative of Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel.
Pastel-colored makeup is currently trending. This eyeshadow piles on colors themed after Creamy Mami. The base color of the eyeshadow is gold. This is because gold works well with many skin types. The other colors, mint green and purple, are for brightening up the skin around the eyes. The eyeshadow is also pearlescent, so the color changes depending on the angle it’s seen from. Depending on how you layer it, it can be used for any occasion.
The eyeshadow palette faithfully replicates the shape of the Magic Compact. Moreover, an eyeshadow brush themed after the Magic Wand and a mirror in the shape of a star make this compact not just faithful to the world of the series, but also practical. The price of the compact is 3,780 yen (tax included). It will release in late September.
