Staff information and character art has been released for the new TV anime Sengoku Basara Judge End that was announced to begin airing this year. Telecom Animation Film was already announced in March to be the studio in charge of creating the anime, and now joining this studio is director Takashi Sano, series composer Natsuko Takahashi, and character designer Michinori Chiba. The characters are based on the well-known characters from the game series, and their designs are simple and eye-catching. This charm comes through in the key visual and character art.
Sengoku Basara started as a game series in 2005 and has become a huge hit with over 3.3 million copies sold. Set in the Sengoku period, the game features highly unique characters that are original representations of the period’s most well known faces including Date Masamune, Sanada Yukimura, Tokugawa Ieyasu, and Ishida Mitsunari.
Up till now, the series has expanded into several other media forms including a manga, TV anime, theatrical anime, stage play, TV drama, and musical. Sengoku Basara Judge End is based on the game Sengoku Basara 3 and tells a story set in Sekigahara. What form will Sengoku Basara, a series that has shown various forms in the past, take this time? It will likely be enjoyable to check out the character art while speculating.
On the other hand, the cast is full of well-known, popular seiyū. This includes Kazuya Nakai, Soichiro Hoshi, Toru Okawa, and Tomokazu Seki. This is a reassuring lineup this time as well.
