The popular Nintendo 3DS game Hero Bank is becoming a TV anime that will begin broadcasting on April 7 (Mon.) at 18:00 on TV Tokyo and six other networks. It will also broadcast on BS Japan and will be delivered to fans in a wide range of areas throughout Japan. Hero Bank is toted as being an “exclusive money battle RPG” and it is being developed into various media and content. Having a debt of 10 billion yen, fifth year elementary school student Kaito decides to pay back his debt by battling in Hero Battles along with a unique bunch of heroes.
The game was just released on March 20 by Sega, and this will be followed up with the anime broadcast in April. The series is ready to take off. The same voice cast from the game is participating in the anime. This includes Yūko Sanpei as main character Kaito, Hiroshi Kamiya as his rival Nagare Amano, Miyuki Sawashiro as Mitsuo Zaizen, and Kazuya Nakai as Fukuta Kanemaru. The cast is a wonderful lineup of seiyū who possess both popularity and skill.
The staff includes the up-and-coming Yasutaka Yamamoto, who previously worked on Squid Girl and Servant x Service, as director and Atsuhiro Tomioka, who is well regarded in the world of children’s anime for his work on the series Inazuma Eleven and Pokémon, as series composer. Creating the animation is TMS Entertainment, creators of such hit works as Detective Conan and Yowamushi Pedal. With this year being the company’s 50th anniversary, this will be a work to focus on.
The anime is based on the world of the game Hero Bank and will include many episodes not seen in the game. Fans will likely be able to double their fun by enjoying the game along with watching the anime. The story takes place in the not so distant future. One day, main character Kaito Gōshō suddenly finds that he owns a debt of 10 billion yen. In order to pay this debt off, he joins the hero battle tournament Hero Wars in which the championship prize happens to be 10 billion yen. Wearing the unknown hero uniform “Enter the Gold,” he fights against formidable enemies together with his friends.
