Dragon Ball Kai (Majin Buu Saga) will begin its TV broadcast on April 6. This new series is an HD remaster of the masterpiece Dragon Ball Z which was a big hit in the ‘80s and ‘90s. From 2009-2011, the Saiyan Saga, Frieza Saga, Android Saga, and Cell Saga were broadcast successively, and each one was highly acclaimed. Now three years later the Majin Buu Saga is finally getting the remastered treatment. Many fans are likely waiting in anticipation for this new version of the old classic.
Toys are already in development to sync up with the start of the anime. The diorama figures “Dragon Ball Capsule R: Shocking Majin Buu Saga” will go on sale from Megahouse at the end of June.
“Dragon Ball Capsule R: Shocking Majin Buu Saga” is a figure series that recreates in 3D famous scenes from Dragon Ball. This is the third part in the series. The main character Majin Buu, of course, makes an appearance, as do the Super Saiyans Goku and Gotenks. The figures elaborately express impressive scenes like when the evil wizard Babidi brainwashes Vegeta and he attacks the audience at the World Martial Arts Tournament. Also captured is the fusion scene between Goku and Piccolo, Mr. Satan washing Majin Buu’s back in the bathhouse, and other comical scenes-turned-figures that will have you laughing uncontrollably.
Being that they are a perfect size at approximately 100 millimeters in height, this lineup can be fully used to decorate your desk or any other space. The figures come in capsules that look like Dragon Balls. In addition to one complete figure, the capsules also include a bonus part. By collecting them all, fans can recreate Babidi-style scenes. There are seven figures to collect in total, and, since they’re capsule toys, fans can look forward to seeing which one they get. Each one costs ￥750 (excluding tax). They will be sold at hobby shops and volume sellers throughout Japan.
The Saiyan Saga and Cell Saga of Dragon Ball Kai were broadcast between 2009 and 2011. In addition to the aspect ratio being changed to 16:9, the wonderful voice cast including Masako Nozawa as the voice of Goku returned to re-record the dialogue. How will the finale to the original series, the Majin Buu Saga, be reborn? Don’t miss the broadcast this April.
