Many of these works have been delivered to the world as anime. Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya, Slam Dunk, One Piece - the amount of popular works is nearly endless. The magazine has been vital in supporting not just manga, but anime as well.
Now, a DVD bringing together all the opening sequences of anime from the world of Jump will be released. The DVD, titled J Anime TV Theme Song Complete Collection, will be released on March 26. The anime openings themselves leave strong impressions that cleverly express the original work through the theme song and charming visuals. With this DVD, you can enjoy a marathon of such videos.
J Anime TV Theme Song Complete Collection features a selection of many popular anime, from masterpieces of the past to currently broadcasting hit works. Included will be a full lineup of original Jump anime including Mazinger Z, Samurai Giants, Kinnikuman, Saint Seiya, Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk, and One Piece. Many songs by wonderful singers will also be compiled, and fans will be able to appreciate the singing voices of artists who have supported the anime song genre. Included will be “Mazinger Z” by Ichirou Mizuki, “Kinnikuman Go Fight!” by Akira Kushida, and “Cha-La-Head-Cha-La” by Hironobu Kageyama. Fans will be able to grasp how these songs themed after characters merged into the realm of pop music. The DVD will include an extravagant list of 45 openings.
Of course, many of these openings themselves have become regarded as masterpieces. From the charming Dokonjō Gaeru with its lovely characters to Yoshinori Kanada’s Tottemo!
