A TV adaptation of Dai Shiina’s manga Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii, which is currently serialized in the shoujo manga magazine Hana to Yume, has been announced. The broadcast will start this April. So far, only the broadcast month has been announced. Information on the cast and production company is still unknown. Look forward to new information to come.
Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii is a love fantasy about Nike Lemerchier, the fourth princess of the Rain Dukedom. She possesses the power to control rainfall and is to be wed, albeit reluctantly, to Livius I of the Sun Kingdom for the good of her country. Though Livius conquered the world three years prior, he is still an innocent young boy. After having picked up popularity from several non-serialized stories, Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii began serialization in February 2012. Currently, the series spans five volumes, with the sixth set to release on Jan. 20. This will likely encourage more anticipation for the anime.
Also, the April issue of Hana to Yume will feature Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii on the cover and will extensively focus on the anime. The latest news will appear in this magazine as well as on Hakusensha’s official site. A limited portion of the manga is also available for a trial reading on Hana to Yume Online. Hana to Yume is known for delivering countless masterpieces beginning with Patalliro! and Glass Mask. Because of this, many of its works were also adapted into anime including S · A: Special A and Skip Beat! in 2008 and Kamisama Hajimemashita in 2012.
