On Jan. 21, services will begin at Ayumino, an Akiba-style nail salon in Akihabara, for official nails modeled after characters from the ongoing TV anime Yowamushi Pedal.
The lineup includes six characters: Sakamichi Onoda, Shunsuke Imaizumi, Shōkichi Naruko, Shingo Kinjō, Yūsuke Makishima, and Jin Tadokoro. Making art of their tracks as they race ahead, the characters’ personalities are shown in their movements as a sprinter, climber, or all-rounder, which is a plus. The designs are intricate and include touches like Sōhoku High’s colors on the right ring finger, their racing numbers, a metallic gradation on the right thumb, and more.
Choose based on your favorite character or your preferred type. These aren’t just for fans, so why not take the challenge if you like bikes?
The nails come as a set that includes application, drying, and coating for ￥11,000 (tax included). Though times can vary by person, this gel nail treatment will take about 3-4 hours to complete.
Aside from gel nails, each design also comes in other tips that can be ordered off the menu for an additional charge of ￥1,500. With these other options, even those who can’t wear the nails for extended periods of time due to work or school can still enjoy them in their free time.
Those who order the Yowamushi Pedal character nails at Ayumino will also receive a Yowamushi Pedal stamp card as a present.
