Limited Hand Towel of the “Ten Hunter Commandments” to Be Given to First 500,000 Moviegoers to see Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission

A limited present to be given out countrywide to the first moviegoers who see the much-anticipated movie Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission to be released on Dec. 27 has been announced. The present is a hand towel of the “Ten Hunter Commandments,” a list of rules determined by the Hunter Association that every Hunter must follow. This Hunter knowledge will now be shared with fans. Also, the title “Ten Hunter Commandments” as well as the kanji for “heart” used on the towel were written by world-renowned calligrapher Soūn Takeda. This is a definite must-have item.

The basis for using the kanji for heart comes from the importance it has to Netero, the chairman of the Hunter Association. The “heart” of Hunters also plays an important role in the movie’s story, as outlined in Commandment 4: “Hunters shall not target fellow Hunters.” Through this hand towel, fans can enjoy the movie more deeply. The hand towel is limited to the first 500,000 people to see the movie, so this is definitely an item you will want to get your hands on early if you can.

Since the original manga for Hunter x Hunter written by Yoshihiro Togashi began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1998, it has become a huge hit reaching 32 volumes and having over 64 million copies in print. A TV anime adaptation of the series began broadcasting in 2011. Earlier this year, to commemorate the series’ 15th anniversary, the first movie, Hunter x Hunter: Phantom Rouge, was released. The current collaborative project with Takeda came about due to him being a big fan of Togashi’s work YuYu Hakusho.

Comment from Soūn Takeda:
>*Hunter x Hunter* is really interesting, isn’t it? It’s so interesting, you’ll become addicted and won’t be able to put it down. The story is one that anyone who reads it can find interesting, and it has an effortless balance of originality and freshness. At any rate, it’s wonderful. What’s also amazing is that you will fall in love with all the characters, even the bad guys. Even the difficult philosophy of the grayness between good and evil allows you to enjoy it as you will. Because I originally loved YuYu Hakusho, I am truly pleased to be able to participate on one of Mr. Togashi’s works. The theme of this new movie is the “dark side of the Hunter Association.” The history of the association that has up until now been shrouded in mystery will be revealed...thrilling, isn’t it! I’m really looking forward to it!
