Tiger & Bunny: The Rising, a new movie that is attracting attention for its all-new story, will be released in Japan on Feb. 8, 2014. Until now, there has been a lot of mystery surrounding this sequel. However, at an event called “Tiger & Bunny: The Rising - Super Prelude” held on Oct. 12 in the event hall of Makuhari Messe, the theme song, placement companies, and outline of the story were revealed. This information being released all at once is causing a rise in enthusiasm for the movie despite it still being more than four months away.
Also, on Oct. 25, big announcements were made. First, a new 90-second trailer was released. The beginning depicts Kotetsu and Barnaby’s separation and Barnaby’s new partner, which is a point that fans are curious about. Also shown are the figures of three new enemies who can use NEXT. The breadth of their power can be thoroughly ascertained just by watching the trailer. What is their goal? And how will the heroes get involved with them? This trailer is more menacing than any other so far and shouldn’t be missed.
Also announced was the seiyū cast for these three mysterious villains and the new owner of Apollon Media. Richard Max, a man in peak physical condition, will be voiced by Rikiya Koyama. Johnny Wong, a strange old man, will be voiced by Mugihito. Kasha Graham, an exotic and enigmatic woman, will be voiced by none other than Nana Mizuki. Her role this time as a villain is sure to draw a lot of attention from fans. Lastly, Apollon Media’s new owner, Mark Schneider, will be voiced by Hōchū Ōtsuka.
