Library to Release for Vocaloid Galaco Created from an Idea by Kō Shibasaki

Yamaha has announced that a package version for the Vocaloid Galaco created from an idea by Kō Shibasaki will be released next spring.

Galaco first appeared as the image character to Kō Shibasaki’s group Galaxias. Last year, this not-for-sale vocal library was given out as a special participation award during the Vocaloid 3 Release Commemoration Music Contest held on Nico Nico Douga.

The illustration for Galaco was created by Kei who is well known for designing Hatsune Miku’s appearance. No word yet on who will be supplying the voice to this new Vocaloid, but there are strong rumors that it will be Shibasaki. “Vocaloid 3 Library Galaco Neo” (tentative name) will release next spring, adding a new singing voice to the Vocaloid library. New information on this will be updated on the official site for Vocaloid.
