At Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2013, held Sept. 19-22 at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba, Japan, fans were able to pick up a pair of Sega Genesis Glasses prior to their December release. The glasses are made by Cospa, a character goods and cosplay company.
Fittingly, the glasses are colored black with “16-Bit” printed on either side of the temple portion. The interior of the frames features a blue and red detail themed after the Sega Genesis’ power button and LED light. At the Sega booth at TGS, the glasses were on sale for 6,500 yen.
Pre-orders are currently being accepted via Cospa for the glasses’ general release late this December. The lenses can be swapped out with other lenses for a fee of about 2,625 yen at Coolens shops.
