MangaPolo - Riding on the Turtle’s Back...Video Introduction to the Story of Chapter 3 of the Son Goku Training Arc of Dragon Ball!

This time, we’d like to introduce Chapter 3 of the manga version of Dragon Ball.

Son Goku and Bulma have set out on a journey to collect the seven Dragon Balls which are said to grant any one wish to the one who obtains all seven. One day, they meet a huge sea turtle which Goku mistakes for a rock. The turtle explains how he went searching for matsutake mushrooms and became separated from the other turtles and how he has been lost for an entire year wandering around on land not being able to find his way back to the sea. Bulma checks to see how far away from the sea they are and finds that the sea is 120 kilometers to the south, much too far for the turtle to travel on his own.

Goku then says that he will carry the turtle back to the sea. Bulma is strongly against it, but since Goku is still in possession of one of the Dragon Balls, she reluctantly goes along with him. On their way to the sea, they come across a bandit many times bigger than they are. He orders them to hand over the turtle and attacks. However, Goku uses his technique “Jan-Ken Fist” and completely knocks out the bandit. Afterward, the turtle arrives safely to the sea.

Goku is shocked at seeing the sea for the first time, and the turtle promises to return with something to show his thanks by. When he does return from the sea, he is carrying someone on his back. Just who is this mysterious person?
