Fuji Shimbo and Media Factory are known for taking the lead of part of Japan’s entertainment industry, and now the two companies have come together on the huge endeavor that is Ange Vierge. The project consists of an anime, light novel, manga, and smart phone app centered on a new trading card game.
Production I.G. and Point Pictures are working on the anime. The PV was first shown last month at MF Bunko J’s Summer School Festival 2013 in Akihabara, but just recently became viewable on the anime’s official site.
The approximately 2-minute-long PV is set at Seiran Academy of Ange Vierge. Appearing in the PV are the four main characters: Hinata Miumi (CV: Yuka Aisaka), Sofina (CV: Mai Ishihara), Aurora (CV: Saori Hayami), and SW = Code Ω46 Senia (CV: Kana Hanazawa). Although short, the PV is fully loaded with the charm of the work, from the intense battle scenes to the expressions of the characters. The theme song, Konomi Suzuki’s “Tears Breaker,” further solidifies the world of Ange Vierge.
Large events are planned in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka stores this fall as the development of the card game finally nears its final phases and prepares to release in October.
