The TV anime Galactic Armored Fleet Majestic Prince is currently broadcasting on all 28 networks in Japan and is gathering acclaim. Earlier this month, the series began its second season, with the story moving toward new developments. In line with the start of the second season, the theme songs for the opening and ending have been changed. Natsumi Kon, who has impressed many with her singing ability, will stay in charge of the opening theme, whereas the ending themes will be sung by the popular voice cast coming together as Team Rabbits.
The new opening theme titled “Prompt” is an uptempo number that overflows with a sense of speed. The singer of this song, Kon, is a new artist who debuted with the opening theme to the first season, “Watashi wa Sozosuru.” In the new song “Prompt” she shows a different side than before. The song was composed by Yozo Koshiro, a popular video game music composer who has worked on such titles as Etrian Odyssey and Ys. Kon is currently playing the role of Éponine in the musical for Les Misérables, which began in April of this year. In August, national performances of the musical will begin. Many have their eyes on Kon for her widely diverse talent.
The new ending themes are sung by five members of the cast: Hiroki Aiba (Hitachi Izuru), Shintaro Asanuma (Asagi Toshikazu), Yoko Hikasa (Kugimiya Kei), Yuka Iguchi (Irie Tamaki), and Junya Ikeda (Suruga Ataru). The two female cast members sing “Arigato. Tadaima,” and the three male cast members sing “Bokutachi wa Ikiteiru.” “Arigato. Tadaima” was composed by video game music producer Kenji Ito who has worked on Dawn of Man and others.
All of the new singles will be released on Aug. 21 for 1,260 yen each (tax included). A campaign to commemorative their release is also underway. Those who either pre-order or buy all the singles at the same time will receive a poster of the opening theme’s jacket. This is a specially drawn and valuable item. A 90-second TV version of the songs are also now available to purchase on the iTunes Store. Don’t take your eyes off of the second season of Majestic Prince colored by these new songs.
