The main cast of the anime Kitakubu Katsudo Kiroku, which will begin broadcasting this July in Japan, has been announced. Also, the first colored teaser illustration was revealed. This announcement includes cast information for six leading characters who are all members of the Go-Home Club. As for the voice stars, fresh, new talent has been chosen to take on the challenge of this anime adaptation.

The Go-Home Club’s hopeful rookie Andou Natsuki is being voiced Ibuki Kido; Touno Karin, the slight airhead who invited Andou to the club, is being voiced by Yuina Mitsuki; Domyouji Sakura, the club president, is being voiced by Miharu Kobayashi; Botan Oohagi, a successor of an ancient Japanese martial arts school, is being voiced by Sae Aiuchi; heiress Claire Kokonoe is being voice by Ayaka Senbongi; and the cute creature Azarashi is being voice by Mao. The main cast is mainly composed of newly debuted voice stars. Fans are looking forward to the performances of these new talents.

The illustration shows two of the girls on their way to school. The work expresses “fast-paced gags of everyday situations” and seems to feature a different literary style than other club anime, which fans will enjoy.

Hikaru Sato, a man with extraordinary ability who is known for working on various much-discussed anime such as Bakuman, is directing the anime. Takahiro Sasaki is in charge of the character designs, and Go Zappa is in charge of the series composition and script. The anime is being produced by the Japanese animation studio Nomad, which also worked on Kyoran Kazoku Nikki and Kampfer.

Kitakubu Katsudo Kiroku was created by Kuroha and is currently serialized in the online magazine Gangan Online (Square Enix). The one-shot of the work published in the anthology received high praise, and the series began serialization in July of 2011. The second volume is currently on sale now and the third volume will release on June 22. A slightly different side to adolescence is depicted on each page of this series that shows the girls that come together as the Go-Home Club for the sake of enjoyably passing time after school.
