An exhibit of the anime Onii-chan dakedo Ai sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne! (also known as simply Oniai) was recently held at the Kotobukiya store in Akihabara, which caught the attention of many fans. At the exhibit, a survey was conducted to see which character from the anime was fans’ favorite. At number one, with a total of 310 votes, was the cool and sexy Nasuhara Anastasia. At number two, with a total of 270 votes, was the diligent and cute Sawatari Ginbei Haruomi. Taking the bronze, with a total of 230 votes, was the popular heroine, the beautiful girl with the keen mind and an extreme love for her older brother, Himenokoji Akiko.
In case you were wondering, we voted for the feisty student council president Nikaido Arashi.
At the exhibit, a signboard was also put up on which attendees could write messages about the anime. Comments ranged from the very perplexing, “I too love my older brother! But, I’m his younger brother,” to the somewhat startling, “I love Anastasia so much I want to become a man,” and everything in between. In any case though, the comment board was a unique and fun way for fans to share their thoughts on the anime, and the board was overflowing with sweet sentiments.
As expected, anime fans are the best!
