  • What the Snake Said

The girl has no sense of shame to show her skin since her moral framework is totally different from human beings. She is more like a half-snake half-human.

The witch (dragon) and the pupil (girl) living deep in a forest. I imagined that people form outside the forest may think the pupil is actually a witch herself.

The couple sometimes succeeds in love and sometimes doesn't, being born again and again. Their position represents the symbol of yin and yang.

This design concept is of character in a Japanese style that seems out of a JRPG (in which there is a statelessness that mixes Japanese, Western, and Chinese elements).

About Me

Gean

Illustrator / Japan

I am a freelance illustrator. I prefer to draw young girls and sexy ladies, as well as chubby girls. I especially love drawing females that have a "non-human" essence. I also enjoy drawing male characters these days.

Currently, my main works are character designs for social games and card games.

    Q&A

How did you get into drawing?

I have used crayons and color pencils from as far back as I can remember.

What do you pay attention to in your work?

When I make the character, I also imagine their personality, lifestyle, and body balance. For creating imaginary creatures, I try to think about their feeding habits and behavior. Moreover, it is important to bring a coolness and pleasant balance to the art.

How long does your work take?

6-12 hours for the illustration of a single character standing.

When and how do you get ideas for your illustrations?

Whenever. But, it is relatively easier to organize my thoughts when I take a shower and wash my head.
