About Me

Bachico

Illustrator / Japan

I used to draw as a hobby when young, but I only started my genuine activities as an illustrator in 2012. At present, I draw commercial illustrations, and at the same time, everyday, I am looking for the answer as to what a cute girl is. I participate in events, mostly Comitia. I like Vocaloids.

    Q&A

How did you get into drawing?

I have liked drawing ever since I was young, and I started to think I want to try various things on that line, and so I did.

    What are your fixations?

I mostly draw girls, and while drawing them, I always think how I could make them look the cutest possible. But when I think about all the things like gestures, facial expression, hairstyle, clothes, or the colors, I get confused about what “cute” is, so it seems my thinking is still mistaken...

How much time does it take to create your work?

That depends. If I’m fast, it takes about 3-4 hours. When I’m slow, it can take up to 15 hours.

When do you come up with ideas for your work?

When I look for clothes in women’s fashion magazines or shops. I also get wild ideas from non-illustrated novels and songs I like.
