New Collaboration Between “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” and Fashion Brand Gucci Launches!

At the end of last year, a collaboration spin off manga between Weekly Shonen Jump’s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and the fashion brand Gucci, called “Jolyne, Fly High with Gucci”, made big waves.

Now, continuing from this spin off story, a new collaboration between these two giants is underway. The collaboration includes a special window designed by series author Hirohiko Araki being displayed at Gucci stores around the world. The window is being displayed in 70 stores worldwide that are located in metropolitan areas, resorts, and trendy hotspots. The collaboration is going on until the middle of this month. Within Japan, the window can be seen at the Gucci stores in Ginza, Aoyama, Osaka, Shinjuku, and Nagoya.

Frida Giannini, creative director at Gucci, shared her great admiration of the collaboration: “Araki’s story overflows with energy, sensuality, and appeal that breathed life into my 2013 Cruise collection in a fun and fascinating way.” She went on to say, “I am quite sure Araki’s window installations will stop people in their tracks in cities around the world as they immerse themselves in the fabulous fantasy world he has created.”

Araki had this to say about the collaboration: “The moment I saw Frida’s beautiful Cruise collection, with its strong colors and designs, my inspiration was broadened. From there, the characters and story for the installation came naturally.”
